A minimized Java Service Wrapper

Wrapper runs Java applications as native services. It is MIT licensed, with a native wrapper written in Rust and a small Java bridge. OneDev uses it as a replacement for Java Service Wrapper (JSW), and other Java applications can use it too.

Wrapper configuration is a subset of JSW, focusing on service wrapping: installation, startup, graceful shutdown, log rotation, and application-requested restarts. JVM monitoring and automatic crash recovery are outside its scope.

It has been extensively tested on:

  • Windows: amd64 and arm64
  • Linux: amd64 and arm64
  • macOS: Apple Silicon (arm64)

Wrapper requires Java 17 or later. Source code, downloads, and documentation are available through the GitHub project.
